Tank bodies can be built up to:

  • 21.000 ltr. on 3-axles truck chassis
  • 30.000 ltr. on 4-axles truck chassis
  • 60.000 ltr. executed as tank trailer

Superstructure

The "Special Low-Torsion body mounting system" for tank bodies is recommendable due to their strongness, torsion-resistant design, in particular for "Off-Road" operation under rough cross-country conditions.

The elastic connection between the truck chassis and the sub-frame provides a torsion-absorbing function.

This arrangement absorbs any stresses passing from chassis to tank.

The sub-frame is mounted to the truck frame in a way to ensure equal load distribution.

The sub-frame is hot-dip galvanized.

Manufactured of thick high-grade steel –S235JRG2-, thickness 4 mm electrically welded throughout with accurately finished welding seams. Dished bulkheads on both sides and appropriate nos. of splash walls. The splash walls are mounted not less than 900 mm and not more than 1750 mm between each other according ADR.

Pump

One (1) self-sucking pump, installed at the vehicle's chassis, hydraulically driven by PTO of truck engine and can be operated pneumatically from the drivers cabin. The suction pipe is equipped with a suction filter. Suction and delivery connections are provided with hose coupling and cab.

Oil-cooler mounted with electric fan.

Pump capacity: approx. 800 ltr./min

Hose-reel

One (1) hose-reel spring loaded with 20 mtr. hose DN38 and manual discharge nozzle is installed inside lockable armature box

By-pass valve to adjust flow-rate from approx. 75 ltr. / min for small vehicles till max. capacity

Nozzle adapter for DN19, DN25 and DN32, to be able for filling a wide range of small and medium sized vehicles.

Armature box

One (1) on kerb-side a lockable cabinet is mounted, with discharge outlets, pneumatic operations, hose-reel and metering system.

Tank superstructure for transportation of Diesel fuel and Petrol
Custom-built RAC-Germany® Tank Superstructure for save transportation of Diesel and Petrol on IVECO truck chassis (6x4). Our fuel tank superstructures are designed and engineered to maximize the daily handling in realtion to safety and comfort as well as to maintainability and durability years over years.

IVECO TRAKKER 380 (6x6) is a truck for off-road operation
Executed in accordance to the German ADR specifications. Heavy duty fuel tank truck for off-road operation: IVECO TRAKKER 380 (6x6). Cabin with A/C.
Fuel tank superstructure with 4 compartments and capacity of 16.000 ltr
The fuel tank superstructure (built according to ADR instructions) has four (4) compartments with a total capacity of 16.000 ltr. Rear right side you can see the a steel box (grey) protecting the spring loaded hose reel. Between driver's cabin and the fuel tank is the spare wheel placed, operated with a manual hoist.
Armature cabinet with discharge maninfolds and metering system
Lockable bucket box (kerbside mounted) protects pumping equipment from the elements.
Discharge and loading manifolds for four (4) compartments
Discharge and loading manifolds for four (4) compartments and metering system in lockable armature cabinet (steel box). Executed in accordance to the German ADR specifications. Below the box the small bonding reel (hose-reel) with 15 m steel cable and grounding clip. The armature box is equipped with LED lights.
Recommend tank superstructures: Strongness and torsion-resistant design
We recommend our tank superstructures due to their strongness and torsion-resistant design for tough OFF-ROAD operations (RAC-Germany® Low-Torsion body mounting system). The elastic connection between the truck main frame and the subframe of the fuel tank provides a torsion-absorbing function. This arrangement absorbs any stresses passing from chassis to tank.
The Tank provides a welded overflow protection (Dom-Pan) along the tank with drain pipe and shutoff cock. The dome pan is designed as an over-roll protection in order to protect the dome armatures.
Steel box protects perfectly the hose reel against the elements
There is a large steel case at the rear end of the tank truck (right hand side) which protects perfectly the hose reel against the elements.
The hose-reel is spring loaded with 20 m. hose DN38 and a manual discharge nozzle. By-pass valve to adjust flow-rate from approx. 75 ltr. / min for small vehicles till max. capacity.
Nozzle adapters for DN19, DN25, DN32 to enable for filling a wide range of small and medium sized vehicles.
Open mesh walkway with rear mounted access ladder and collapsible handrail on top of the fuel tank
Open mesh walkway on the right-hand side of the manhole cover, with rear mounted access ladder. Collapsible handrail made of aluminum, fixed as safety barrier, according to RAC-Germany® safety regulations along the dome-pan on top of the diesel tank superstructure. The operation of the handrail is manually, next to the access ladder.
Diesel fuel tank on IVECO truck for tough roads in Africa
IVECO 6x6 off-road fuel tank truck for tough roads in East Africa. The truck chassis is raised to get a higher ground clearance.
The truck chassis itself and the fuel tank superstructure is fabricated in accordance to the German ADR specification (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).
We do also supply the "ADR safety bag" which contains: Hammer made of copper, Protection glasses, Protection gloves made of nitrile, Binding material 5kg, Aerosol can for the eyes, Dustpan with brush, Set of first aid dressing material.
