The new-for-2014 Versatile line of self-propelled sprayers builds on the success of the past and was fully developed and engineered by Versatile. They represent the evolution of Versatile and set the benchmark for features, operator comfort and convenience. Having all the powerful features of the old line, like it's highly efficient MaxTorque® two-wheel mechanical drive system or heavy-duty Allison 5-speed automatic transmission, the SX240 and SX280 take it to a new level in the sprayer industry.

The Versatile self-propelled sprayers SX240 and SX280 are built on the success of the past and was fully developed, engineered and manufactured by Versatile in Willmar, Minnesota, Canada. They represent the evolution of Versatile and set the benchmark for features, operator comfort and convenience.

The new HQ Cab is the largest in the self-propelled sprayer industry. The design includes 4 cu m (140 cu ft) of volume area, and 7.18 sq m (73.5 sq ft) of expansive glass for unmatched visibility. The cab provides the operator with the feeling of space, allowing near 360 degrees of visibility.

  • Cummins QSB6.7-litre engine, single fuel solution, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT)
  • 240 or 280 horsepower with legendary fuel economy
  • Four hub-mounted dynamic brakes, electric over hydraulic
  • HQ Cab with heated, semi-active suspension cloth seating, largest in the sprayer industry. (Allowing near 360 degrees of visibility reducing fatigue)
  • Hand throttle, foot accelerator, cruise control utilization
  • Front entry retractable ladder onto side cab walkway for easy entry
  • Tru-link main frame to axle horizontal suspension, reduces side-to-side movements
  • 130 U.S. gal (492 L) polyethylene fuel tank with easy access retractable ladder
  • Swing-out single access panel to batteries, electrical junction locations
  • Easy access to vertical stacked radiator core and air cleaner with vertically raised hood
  • Three styles of axle width; hydraulic adjustable, manual adjustable, or fixed
  • Choice of polyethylene or stainless steel product tanks
